The Provincial Prior’s Bodyguard

Applications are now being sought from Knights who may be interested in serving on the Provincial Prior’s Bodyguard for the Province of Kent. This is a great way to travel around the Province and enjoy your Knight Templar Masonry in the company of your fellow Knights while improving sword drill and learning procedure.

If you are interested please download and fill in the attached application form and post or e-mail it to me at the above address.

Interviews are usually held in September/October, successful applicants are then invited to turn out, as probationary members, with the Bodyguard, with a view to being appointed at the Provincial Priory meeting in the following July.

This is a highly prestigious appointment, with members expected to display the highest standards of appearance & behaviour at all times. In addition members are expected to:

•Have a full set of both KT and Malta regalia and have completed their Malta Degree

•Cover their own travel and dining expenses any meals booked must be paid for

Attend at least six meetings in addition to those listed below:

Provincial Priory meeting – 1st Saturday morning in July each year
Provincial Malta meeting – 4th Saturday morning in October each year
Kent Bodyguard Malta meeting – 2nd Saturday morning in February each year
Provincial Family Church service – a Sunday afternoon in March/April
