Templars farewell to Biot France in 2011

Last year Kt Robin Gurney from Shirley Woolmer Preceptory sent a report concerning the departure of the Knights Templar from his wife's home village of Biot. Click here to see. My wife’s home village will again be celebrating the fact that the Templars had had enough raping and pillaging (allegedly) and wanted to move on to fresh pastures — 800 years ago.

There will be various events over the weekend of 25th to 27th March as you can see from the attached.

I have also attached the menu from the local restaurant, called La Pierre a Four, on the main road from Biot to Valbonne — it’s a magnificent restaurant, top quality and the menu ranges from €21 to €36. I usually pick from the €26 menu and have four courses, they obviously make their money on the wine.

My wife has a house close to the village, which we currently let out to friends when not in use by us, so that is something that can be considered if anyone is interested in going for the weekend.
